Frequently asked Questions :

Is there a lot to walk?

The hike to the hut lasts about 45min for 200m of elevation. It's a little less than to go to Lac Achard from the Arselle plateau, a little more than from Roche-Béranger.

Is it difficult?

The path does not present any technical difficulties, it is only a little steep at times.

Is it cold ?

In the hut, it is hot. For stargazing or tasting, it will be necessary to provide a warm layer to put on once you arrive.

What equipment should be taken?

Hiking shoes, clothes for walking in the snow and for keeping warm once you arrive, gloves, a hat.

Snowshoes are not provided but I can collect some for you from a rental company. Headlamps are provided.

Where does the departure take place ?

Departure is from La Croisette, in Roche-Béranger (Chamrousse 1750), opposite the “La Bérangère” residence, free shuttle stop n°18.
